Andaman bird rescued on Mumbai’s Juhu Beach, but dies a day later

In a historic save, a blue-footed booby bird, was rescued from Mumbai’s Juhu beach by the local police, yesterday. The bird was found floating on the sea. It’s interesting because the bird is native to the Andaman and Nicobar islands.

Sources at the local bird helplines say that this is the fourth such bird that has been rescued from Deonar and Ratnagiri, in Maharashtra this August. By the time the rescue efforts neared fruition, the bird breathed its last.
