The Old Port in Mangaluru is the hotspot of activity with regard to the construction of a dedicated jetty for ships to and from Lakshadweep. To be jointly built by Lakshadweep administration and the Karnataka Port department, besides the jetty, there will be a passengers’ waiting complex, goods sheds and other facilities.
This will boost the trade relations between the two places as well as serve as a platform for traders, passengers, and officials of Lakshadweep administration.
