The islands of Seychelles, in the Indian Ocean, is a popular tourist spot for Westerners and Asians alike. Recently, the Seychelles Tourism Board (STB) has signed bilateral air services agreement with Brazil, which will definitely increase the already considerable outbound tourist set of Brazil. Each year, about a thousand Brazilians visit Seychelles, especially during the Seychelles’ Carnival. The fest also includes Brazilian performers.
The beaches and rainforests, and the lively nature of the natives are what attracts tourists to this island nation. Currently, air links only exist via Europe and some Gulf cities. After a few years, the Brazilian Ambassador says that Seychellois students will be able to study in Brazilian institutions of higher learning including marine, tourism, and hospitality-related fields.
